the Yorkshire Ambulance Service. All calls attended by H.I.R. Volunteers are shown.

Hand-grenade found by member of the public and
reported to HIR. HIR contacted the Coastguard who then dispatched the Hornsea Team to deal with the unexploded ordinance.

which had made a distress call and then lost all communications. The dive boat had a casualty with suspected "bends".
The vessle was located and the casualty air lifted by RAF Sea king 128 to the decompression chamber

which took a freak wave ouver the stern while launching. The wave washed the fueltank overboard and left the vessle in danger

Launched to assist fishing vessle "Lisa Jane" out of Bridlington. The 32ft fishing vessle had engine
failure approx 1.5 miles off Hornsea. The vessle was taken under tow to hold her steady in rough conditions. She was then
towed North to 1 mile off Skirlington to rendevous with the R.N.L.I. all weather lifeboat from Bridlington, which then
took up the tow to Bridlington Harbour.

water 500m off Hornsea Beach. The Lifeboat "Emily Laura" launched to investigate with... Coxswain Ashley Evans,
Helmsman Gavin Prest, Leading Crewman Rob Stevenson. On arrival they found an elderly gentleman in a confused state who wanted
to swim to "Barton on Humber". (the gentleman thought he was in the River Humber not the North Sea). He was brought
back to the Boathouse where an Ambulance was waiting for him.

Launched in response
to a May-Day call from a small speed boat which had broken down on an ebb tide. The boat was Drifting out to sea
and was intercepted approx 1/2 off Hornsea. The boat was recovered safely to the beach with two persons on board.

An extensive search for a missing person last reported at Hornsea Freeport. Rapid
Response Jet Bike, Charity Venture and Hornsea Rescue 2 (our new boat) all launched for extensive search of the cliffs between
Aldborough and Barmston. R.N.L.I. Boats from Bridlington and Withernsea also searched their respective areas. Charity Venture
was also later launch on Hornsea Mere to conduct a search of the lake margins.
