Rescue Boat (RIB - Rigid Inflatable Boat)

 

 

The rescue boat has been a primary part of Hornsea Inshore Rescue right from the start. It was purchased by Hornsea Inshore Rescue in 1996 and has since then undergone a fair few upgrades.

New engines were purchased in 2003 and fitted in the same year.

Ribtec 5.85m RIB
Twin 60HP Mariner Four Stroke Outboards
20 Gallons of Fuel Storage with Water Seperation
VHF Radio
Garmin GPS
Radar
Searchlight
Compass
Full First Aid Equipment + Oxygen
Flares
Stainless Steel A Frame with Self Righting Mechanism
Night Vision Scopes
Anchor + Ropes, knives etc.

Although "Charity" has served us well over the years helping to save many lives, she is now starting to show her age and we are currently looking to raise funds for her replacement. She will have a happy retirement as one of our RYA training boats.
